The display module in the GDSs allows differentiating the offer of the system through Branded Fares, which include the following information:
- name of the Branded Fare
- services and whether they are paid or not
- base fare conditions
The upsell module will show in order the possible fares and the included services. A teaser will clearly show the difference between the lowest possible fare for the reservation and the following Branded Fares and what they include. In this way, it is easy to demonstrate to the customer the advantages that can often have a small difference, for example with regard to luggage, which will be more advantageous to include in the fare sooner than to pay at the time of check-in.
On October 11, 2022, for journeys beginning on November 11, 2022, TAP changed to 3 brands in Economy, in all Continental Fares: DISCOUNT, CLASSIC, and PLUS. The BASIC brand was removed from fares on routes in Europe and North Africa. The 2 brands were kept in Executive - EXECUTIVE and TOP EXECUTIVE.
By adopting only 3 brands in Economy we offer greater simplicity in the main attributes offered in each one, namely:
- DISCOUNT- competitive price + hand luggage
- CLASSIC- hold baggage + choice of seat
- PLUS- total flexibility

MADEIRA AND AZORES
The new RBD/Brand Structure is valid for all Europe and North Africa flights, except for domestic flights between Portugal Mainland and Madeira/Azores, where brand CLASSIC will still be available for all RBDs in Economy (O to Y).
NOTE
Reissues on tickets issued :
- before 11APR22 must be manually calculated to any higher brand, provided all other fare conditions are observed. The applicable change fee and fare differences, if any, must be applied.
- on/after 11APR22 will be automatically re-calculated according to the fare rules/conditions to any higher brand.

REISSUANCE BETWEEN BRANDED FARES
Since May 2022, TAP is allowing the Brand to be changed, within the same cabin, by reissuing the ticket, as long as the change is to a higher brand.
Thus, for example, a customer who purchased a ticket in brand CLASSIC may pay the difference to brand PLUS. Or a customer who purchased a ticket in brand EXECUTIVE may change to brand TOP EXECUTIVE.
