Updated on 11 Jan 2021

Following the Directive (EU) 2016/681  of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the use of Passenger Name Record (PNR)* data for the prevention, detection, investigation and prosecution of terrorist offences and serious crime, all passengers travelling to/from  Poland, Hungary, Luxembourg,  Sweden (since 20Mar19), Finland (from 05Jun19) ,  the Czech Republic (from 19 Aug19), Denmark (from 16Sep19), Holland (from Oct 29th) and Austria (from Dec 17th)  should inform their travel document details at time of bookings or until 72 ours before flight departure:

  • Full Name (mind the maximum characters allowed for name element)
  • Gender
  • Date of Birth
  • Number and Validity of Document of Identification (ex: ID card or passport)

These details must be inserted as an SSR DOCS.

A warning equal or identical to one of these, "DOCS INFO RQRD BY GOVERNMENT REGULATIONS" or "MANDATORY DOCS ARE  RQSTD BY AUTHORITIES" will appear whenever a flight segment is booked to/from one of these countries but will disappear after "END TRANSACTION".

All bookings without the mandatory information will receive notifications 15 Days before the flight, 07 Days, 04 Days or 03 Days until the minimum required information is inserted. The lack of this information may result in delays at check-in or boarding.

Keep an eye out for GDS regulations' warnings whenever you book a flight segment.

*do not  mix up with the same designation used by GDSs to identify a reservation.

 Important notes:

Don’t use passenger titles such as MR, MRS, MSTR and MISS on SSR DOCS (though they are mandatory on a PNR name element).
